Dose
Start with a dime-size scoop for short styles — a little more for thick, coarse, or medium-length hair.
Emulsify
Rub between palms and fingers for 5–10 seconds, until it turns nearly invisible.
Shape
Work through from the roots up, back to front. Fingers for texture, a comb for a defined part.

No. 01 is water-based, so it rinses clean. The hold and the low-sheen finish come from bentonite clay and arrowroot, not petroleum. The scent comes from lemon peel, black spruce, and rosemary — real oils, no synthetic fragrance blend. Every ingredient is listed below. No long chemical scroll for the sake of it.

Water-based
Water is the first ingredient — it rinses out with water alone. No waxy buildup, no special shampoo.
Clay, not petroleum
Bentonite clay and arrowroot root powder do the work — grip and a low-sheen finish, without the grease of petrolatum pomades.
Conditioning, not just hold
Aloe is the second ingredient. Castor, jojoba, avocado and cocoa butter keep hair soft — plus panthenol (pro-vitamin B5).
No synthetic fragrance
The scent comes from lemon peel, black spruce and rosemary oils — listed by name, not hidden behind the word “fragrance.”
