Effective July 3, 2026. This policy explains what Common Matter LLC ("Common Matter," "we") collects when you visit commonmattergrooming.com or buy from us, and your choices.
What we collect
- You give us: name, email, phone (if you opt into texts), shipping/billing address, and order details when you join our list, place an order, or contact us. When checkout launches, payment card data will be processed by our payment providers — we will never store full card numbers.
- Collected automatically: device/browser info, IP address, pages viewed, and referring links, via cookies and similar tools (the Meta Pixel for ad measurement). Our site and waitlist form submissions are hosted and stored by Netlify.
How we use it — to fulfill and ship orders, provide support, send the emails/texts you asked for, prevent fraud, comply with law, and understand and improve how the store performs (including ad measurement).
How we share it — with service providers who work on our behalf (payments, shipping/fulfillment, email/SMS, analytics, advertising) under contract; and if required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell your personal information for money. Some sharing for advertising (e.g., the Meta Pixel) may count as "sharing" or a "sale" under certain state laws — you can opt out (see below).
Cookies & choices — you can manage cookies in your browser settings. Turning off some cookies may affect site features.
Your privacy rights — depending on where you live (e.g., California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, delete, or correct your personal information, and to opt out of "sale"/"sharing" for targeted advertising. To exercise these, email hello@commonmattergrooming.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information". We won't discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Marketing — you can unsubscribe from email anytime via the link in any message, and stop texts by replying STOP. Message/data rates may apply; consent to texts isn't a condition of purchase.
Data retention & security — we keep information as long as needed for the purposes above and as required by law, and use reasonable safeguards to protect it. No method is 100% secure.
Children — the store isn't directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
